Our founder and president, Mark Davidson, has just finished mentoring a team who won second place in the Gainesville StartupQuest program. This program teaches entrepreneurship to teams of individuals who build a simulated company around real technologies available from public research.
The teams built a business plan and investor pitch, which were judged by a panel of entrepreneurs and investors. Mark mentored the "Lifenet" team, who produced a business plan for bringing a NASA technology to market. The technology is a roadway barrier capable of safely stopping and containing cars traveling 80 MPH in 8 feet. The team proved themselves as excellent and enthusiastic students. Their enthusiasm produced an excellent investor pitch which was very well received by the judges and audience.
We congratulate the team and their mentor on a job well done!
